As you know, these days your website is your internet marketing brochure, sometimes even your store front. So an important marketing tip is to make it easy for them to find what they are looking for, starting with a menu bar and an easily accessible Search bar.
#85. Internet Marketing Tip; Google search has made us all lazy, add a Search feature to make it easy for your visitor
Whenever we have a question or concern, we Google it! When we want to research someone – we Google them. The result of all this instant feedback is that we (all of us web surfers) are used to getting information immediately… and if we don’t find it immediately at a website we have landed on – we bounce out.
Let’s face it, there are very few subjects that we can’t get pages (and pages) of information on. So if someone lands on your website, and you have more than five pages – are they going to be able to find what they are looking for?
#86. Internet marketing tip; You have 15 seconds for a visitor to find what they are looking for.
Once someone lands on your marketing website to, your visitor needs to be able to find what they are looking for – instantly. If they can’t find it – they will bounce out and on the the next website. Web surfers have very little patience.
There are a couple of ways to provide the web surfer easy access to what they are looking for; a search button and a category or tag cloud. If your website is a blog platform, you can easily add a Search widget and/or a category/cloud on either the side of the main content… and you definitely should.

When I land on a website and I can’t find what I came for, the first thing I do is look for a Search feature. With a Search bar, I can type in a keyword or phrase and all of the articles pertaining to that will usually pop up.
